“You spend your career being told what to do and when to do it in the military and then suddenly you are dumped on civvy street and that can be quite frightening.”. “We’ve spoken to people who have reached out to the authorities and social services and are having to wait at least three months to see or speak to someone. That can be a very long and dangerous time for someone on the brink of depression or suffering mental health issues. That, as far as I’m concerned, is unacceptable in a country like the UK when it comes to how the armed forces are treated."
